An effective response to the growing world-wide ecological crisis will require the participation not only of scientists, economists, and policy-makers, but also the world's religious communities. Many religious communities around the world are doing remarkable work to bring healing and restoration to people and land. This talk will highlight some of the ethical and spiritual approaches that are being undertaken by various faith communities in an effort to transform our ecological attitudes and practices.
This speech is the opening keynote for the "Ethics, Religion, and the Environment" Symposium sponsored by the Center for Intercultural Dialogue. An opening reception for the Symposium will be held at 6 pm in the Lillis Atrium.
