Ecovillage and Permaculture Certificate Programs (EPCP)

Winter: November 30 – December 13, 2006 Summer: June 18 – August 10, 2007 Fall: TBA, 2007

In addition to a full permaculture design certificate course, this dynamic residential program provides a holistic introduction to social permaculture, ecovillage design and implementation, and community living. Most Universities offer students upper division credit, through program participation.

Ecovillage and Permaculture Certificate Program at Lost Valley Educational Center (LVEC), Dexter Oregon

Summer program: June 26 - August 18, 2006; Fall program: October 2-27, 2006

This dynamic residential program provides a holistic introduction to ecovillages, in addition to a full permaculture design certificate course. Students may receive academic or internship credits.

Subjects include: Ecological Landscape Design, Ecovillage Site Design, Organic Gardening, Ecobuilding, Personal Growth and Community Connection, Ecoforestry, Intentional Communities, and Renewable Energy.

Synergie Conference

Synergy is a four-day event at The Evergreen State College. It is paid for by TESC student activities fees and supported by many academic programs. The conference boasts 8 keynotes, and over 30 presentations, workshops, tours and panel discussions. It is organized by a diverse coalition of students in a collective effort to create a holistic learning experience and a model for a more sustainable world.
