Tree Planting
Do you appreciate the scenic beauty and natural resources of the Willamette basin? Do you want to be apart of the effort to help protect and sustain these natural values?
If so, the Mckenzie River Trust needs volunteers to help plant 12,500 native trees on Mckenzie River Trust's Green Island from 9AM to 1PM on Saturday, February 2nd.

• Energy and water efficiency, renewable energy and other good businesspractices that reduce greenhouse gas emissions
• Preparations for the impacts of climate change
• Supporting low-carbon business and job creation
• Educating students and the public about Climate Change and Sustainability
Welcome and opening remarks by UO President Dave Frohnmayer. Climate protection briefings by senior staff from EWEB, EPUD, NW Natural, LTD, Springfield School District, Bethel School District, 4J School District , City of Eugene, City of Springfield, Lane County, LCOG, LCC, and UO.
