HOPES 15 Feedback
Awesome, sweet
Workshops – where you get to make things
Meeting speakers and eating with them was awesome – esp Anderson Anderson
Pulling in folks that were not aware of HOPES

  • Wind a problem at reg desk

2 panels at the same time, not 3
Someone to coordinate chair/furniture movement – better focus for volunteer training
Make sure teardown people are attending last keynote
Truck from motorpool?
Another venue for HOPES party – big space, have to organize on their time – makes for unneeded stress and extra stage moving – student rec center room or emu room?
A week later? – for media a lot of time for posters was during finals

  • More people in the building
  • Not during the field trip weekend

Great volunteer recruitment
Online registration – streamline – or make it clear what needs to happen with people who already have accounts

What better way to celebrate Earth Day than to promote sustainable living? The Center for the Advancement of Sustainable Living (CASL) will celebrate Earth Day by breaking ground to a new resource center on April 22. CASL members will conduct tours, workshops and activities from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The highlight of the evening will be the groundbreaking ceremony at 5 p.m. with Eugene Mayor Kitty Piercy, followed by dinner and live music.

Come celebrate a groundbreaking that has been six years in the making! We would be honored to have your attendance at this event.

The cost is free, but donations are accepted to fund the center’s construction. CASL’s low-impact center, located at 1801 Moss St., will serve as a resource center for University of Oregon students and community members when it is complete in 2010.

For more information, visit the CASL website.
