What better way to celebrate Earth Day than to promote sustainable living? The Center for the Advancement of Sustainable Living (CASL) will celebrate Earth Day by breaking ground to a new resource center on April 22. CASL members will conduct tours, workshops and activities from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The highlight of the evening will be the groundbreaking ceremony at 5 p.m. with Eugene Mayor Kitty Piercy, followed by dinner and live music. Come celebrate a groundbreaking that has been six years in the making! We would be honored to have your attendance at this event. The cost is free, but donations are accepted to fund the center’s construction. CASL’s low-impact center, located at 1801 Moss St., will serve as a resource center for University of Oregon students and community members when it is complete in 2010. For more information, visit the CASL website. Friday April 24, 2009
